2021 Ford Escape MPG Review

Something that sets the 2021 Ford Escape apart from other SUVs in its class is the MPG. This compact SUV is available as a hybrid and plug-in hybrid, so it’s able to take you especially far between fill-ups. In fact, with the hybrid, you’re able to get the following EPA-estimated efficiency specs:

It gets this kind of capability when it’s running on the available 2.0L EcoBoost® engine, which achieves the following specs:

• 250 horsepower
• 280 lb-ft of torque

With the standard 1.5L EcoBoost® engine, your 2021 Escape can tow up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped. This engine delivers 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. However, if you’re driving the hybrid, then your towing capacity will be 1,500 pounds when properly equipped.

3. SEL Trim Level

With the SEL trim, your Escape gets fog lamps that can help lead the way on hazy evenings. It’s also the first to make the 2.0L EcoBoost® engine available, with its 250 horsepower and 3,500-pound properly equipped towing capacity. Plus, you can upgrade your sound system with the optional B&O™ Sound System with 10 speakers, including a subwoofer.

4. Escape Titanium

Finally, there’s the Titanium trim. This trim comes standard as a hybrid, but makes the 2.0L EcoBoost® engine available too. You’ll also get the B&O™ Sound System standard on this trim, as well as the Ford Co-Pilot360™ Assist+ suite of safety features, like Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering.
